I stated in previous evidence that I wrote letter on 10/6.
That should be 10/7. When I stated 10/6 it was owing to typing
error in date. I produce copy of that letter, which I wrote.
Original order was brought to us by Mrs. Brewer. I remember
her bringing in the job. By looking at day book I say this
date was 21/6. If 21/6 date appears in day book as day on
which I received order I could not have sent proof Ex.H on
11/6. Exs.E & F are both our proofs. It would not have been
possible to have delivered 20 copies of proof on 11 or 12/6
if date in day book is correct. We might have delivered 20
copies similar to Ex.D without covers.

I do not know Mr. Brewer's signature.

X X I don't remember date of original order; I rely on day
Day book is written up by whoever receives order. That
order was received by me and is in my writing. As a rule order
is written as soon as received, otherwise it might not be
written up at all. Order in question was for 200 copies. As
a rule production of draft would be order - we wouldn't reckon
we had an order unless we had a draft. We might have received
draft before date of order, but it is improbable. It is also
possible, on assumption that order was received before date
in day book, that type was set up befor that date.
